Earlier this month, I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Modena, Italy to attend the 7th edition of the Motor Valley Fest, which took place from June 5–8, 2025. As someone passionate about cars and storytelling, this event exceeded every expectation — not just as a car show, but as a full-scale cultural and industrial celebration of Italy’s legendary Motor Valley.
A City That Turns Into a Festival
Modena was completely transformed. The historical city center became an open-air auto museum with over 10 locations activated across squares, museums, and landmarks. More than 40 automotive brands — from giants like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Pagani, Dallara, and Ducati to cutting-edge start-ups and research institutions — took over the city, turning it into a playground for car lovers, engineers, collectors, and dreamers.
Highlights I Personally Experienced
I made sure to dive into everything the festival had to offer, and here are some of my favorite moments:
🔧 Factory Tours
I was fortunate enough to join guided factory tours for:
Ferrari – Walking through Maranello was a surreal experience. Seeing the birthplace of some of the world’s most iconic cars left me speechless.
Lamborghini – Their production facility blends art and innovation. I got a glimpse into how machines become masterpieces.
Pagani – A true boutique of automotive design. Pagani’s cars are sculpted by both engineering and passion.
Dallara – Here, performance meets precision. Their racing DNA is visible in every inch of their production.
Maserati – While not in the original list above, if you saw it as well, it’s a beautiful heritage site.
If you love cars, visiting these facilities is an absolute must. It’s not just about watching cars get built — it’s about understanding the Italian obsession with speed, beauty, and craftsmanship.
🚗 Best of Motor Valley at Piazza Roma
This was the heart of the festival. The “Best of Motor Valley” exhibition brought together over 60 incredible vehicles, from historic icons to the latest concept cars. Standouts included:
-
Ferrari F80
-
Lamborghini Temerario
- Pagani Utopia Roadster
Dallara Stradale
-
Maserati GT2 Roadster
-
Ducati Panigale V4 Tricolore & Lamborghini Editions
🛠️ Live Restorations & Classic Cars
At Giardini Ducali, the “Padiglione delle Classiche” featured legendary restorers like Bacchelli & Villa working live on vintage cars. It was pure nostalgia for collectors and young enthusiasts alike.
🧠 Innovation, Talks & Tech
The festival didn’t just look back — it looked ahead. With over 100 interactive experiences, tech talks, simulators, and startup showcases, I also explored the future of mobility: AI, sustainability, EVs, and design innovation.
🎓 University Village & Talent Hub
In Piazza Grande, students from all over Italy showed off their self-built Formula SAE racers, electric motorcycles, and 3D-printed vehicles. The energy and innovation from the next generation of engineers was truly inspiring.
Why You Should Go
Whether you’re a gearhead, an innovator, or simply someone who appreciates Italian culture, Motor Valley Fest is a one-of-a-kind experience. You’ll get:
Unmatched access to legendary brands
The chance to visit world-famous factories
Exhibitions, parades, and thrilling demonstrations
Great weather, incredible food, and a stunning city to explore
From Modena to Maranello, this region breathes automotive excellence — and in June, it celebrates it like nowhere else.
I highly recommend every car lover plan a trip to Modena during Motor Valley Fest. Whether you go for the cars, the history, or just the Italian experience, you’ll leave with unforgettable memories.
Can’t wait for the 2026 edition!
