Today, I attended an event hosted by VinFast at the Banyan Tree Hotel in Bluewater for the launch of their first dealership in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), in partnership with Al Tayer Motors. Situated in downtown Dubai, the dealership spans over 1,000 square meters and features a sleek, modern design. It includes a service workshop, allowing customers to experience VinFast’s range of smart electric vehicles, including the VF 6, VF 7, VF 8, and VF 9 models.
VinFast’s electric vehicles, known for their modern aesthetics, advanced technology, and impressive performance, aim to deliver a unique driving experience to customers in the UAE and the wider Middle East. Recently, on October 17, 2024, VinFast signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Charge&Go to enhance the installation and operation of public charging stations in the UAE.
Plans are underway to open additional VinFast dealerships across the Middle East, including in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain, later this year. The VF 8 model is expected to launch in the region with starting prices of $47,500 for the Eco trim and $51,500 for the Plus trim.
During the event, Mr. Ta Xuan Hien, CEO of VinFast Middle East, remarked, “Today’s launch in the Middle East signifies a key milestone in VinFast’s efforts to expand in the global electric vehicle market. We are excited to collaborate with Gulf nations in the electrification movement, offering innovative electric vehicles with outstanding warranties, while progressing with our expansion plans both regionally and globally.”
As a leader in the all-electric vehicle sector, VinFast has built a solid reputation across various international markets, including the U.S., Canada, Europe, Indonesia, India, and the Philippines. The Middle East represents a significant opportunity for VinFast, particularly as regional governments embrace policies to accelerate electric vehicle adoption.
In the Middle East, VinFast has formed exclusive partnerships with three prominent regional dealers: Al Tayer Motors (UAE), Al Mana Holdings (Qatar), and Bahwan Automobiles & Trading (Oman).
