Bentley Motors has broadened its exclusive range of satin paint finishes to include ten distinctive colors, catering to customers’ increasing desire for personalization in their Bentley vehicles. This expanded palette features a variety of options, from timeless and understated shades to vibrant and contemporary hues, ensuring that every Bentley model can reflect its owner’s unique style.

Each Bentley with a satin finish undergoes an intricate painting process that takes up to 55 hours. Craftsmen at Bentley’s Excellence Centre for Bespoke Paint hand-apply the finish. The process begins with the car’s original gloss color, followed by meticulous steps including hand-sanding, cleaning, masking, and additional dusting before a clear lacquer is applied in two stages. This attention to detail ensures a flawless and uniform satin finish. Additionally, every vehicle is rigorously inspected and approved by an independent Production Quality Team to guarantee that all surfaces exceed customer expectations. Looking ahead, all satin paints will be applied at Bentley’s new state-of-the-art Paint Shop, set to open in 2025.
Drawing inspiration from the latest design technologies and trends, Bentley’s team at the Dream Factory in Crewe, England, develops each satin paint finish. This involves a comprehensive testing process that underscores Bentley’s commitment to exceptional craftsmanship, quality, and durability across all its vehicles.

Satin paint finishes uniquely interact with light, scattering rather than reflecting it, which enhances the styling lines of Bentley cars in ways that gloss finishes may not.
In 2023, Bentley experienced a record year for Mulliner customizations, with 75% of customers opting for Mulliner features. The expansion of the satin paint range by Mulliner reflects Bentley’s dedication to offering limitless personalization options. With an array of exterior and interior choices, the new satin finishes allow customers to express their individuality, whether they prefer a classic, elegant look or a more modern, dynamic aesthetic. Furthermore, customers can collaborate with Mulliner’s in-house design team to create entirely bespoke satin colors.

The ten satin paint finishes are applicable across Bentley’s current lineup, including the Continental GT, Continental GT Convertible, Bentayga, Bentayga Extended Wheelbase, and Flying Spur. These finishes are also available for the newly announced Mulliner Batur Convertible, the third coachbuilt Bentley of the modern era.
