Nissan has always delivered powerful, versatile vehicles, but with the upcoming 2026 Nissan Patrol Nismo, they are elevating the legendary SUV to a whole new level. Recently, I had the opportunity to attend the Formula E race in Jeddah, where I got an exclusive look at what the Nissan Nismo team has been working on. During this unforgettable weekend, I learned more about the upcoming Patrol Nismo, which promises to set new benchmarks for performance and luxury in the full-size SUV category.

Engine & Powertrain: One of the most exciting features of the 2026 Patrol Nismo is its engine. With around 500 horsepower, this powerhouse SUV will pack a serious punch. Nissan has taken inspiration from the performance-focused Nissan GT-R, and the engine in the Patrol Nismo is based on the same technology. This means a thrilling driving experience, and with the promise that it will sound just as fierce as the V8 engine of its predecessor, enthusiasts are in for a treat.

Suspension & Handling: In addition to the engine upgrades, the Patrol Nismo will feature Bilstein suspension. Known for their high-performance dampers, Bilstein will help provide an improved driving experience, ensuring that the Patrol Nismo handles with precision and agility. This, combined with the powerful engine, is bound to make the Patrol Nismo a force to be reckoned with on both roads and trails.

Design & Aesthetics: The Patrol Nismo isn’t just about raw power—it also boasts an aggressive and striking design. The Nismo team has given it a sportier body kit, complete with red accents, a hallmark of the Nismo brand. These additions give the SUV a more muscular stance while staying true to its luxurious roots. And with 22-inch forged-alloy wheels, it will have no trouble turning heads.

Sound: If you’ve ever wondered what the Patrol Nismo will sound like, rest assured—it will be music to your ears. The Nismo team promised that the engine’s roar would be just as glorious as that of the V8 engine in the previous model. This makes the new Patrol Nismo an exciting proposition for anyone who appreciates not just power, but the symphony of a high-performance engine.

Release Date: For those in the UAE, the 2026 Patrol Nismo is expected to hit the streets in the third quarter of 2026. The countdown has already begun, and there’s a palpable sense of excitement among fans who can’t wait to see the new Patrol Nismo in action.

The 2026 Nissan Patrol Nismo is set to become a flagship model, combining high-performance engineering, bold design, and cutting-edge technology. With a 500 HP engine, Bilstein suspension, and unmistakable Nismo styling, this SUV is poised to dominate the roads. Whether you’re a fan of off-roading or looking for a luxury SUV with serious performance credentials, the Nissan Patrol Nismo promises to deliver on every front. I can’t wait to see it in person once it’s released in the UAE—this is a vehicle that’s truly worth the wait.
